An Indian woman allegedly paid INR 600,000 to a hitman to murder her husband who she had been married to for 25 years, Hindustan time reported.

According to reports, the defendant, Zeeba Qureshi, 40, wanted to marry her 29-year-old lover whom she had met online. Qureshi hired Vinit Goswami for this task.

The deceased, Moinuddin Qureshi, owned a workshop and was shot on May 17. Her brother reported the matter to the police.

The deputy police commissioner said a thorough investigation had been carried out during which 500 CCTV footage had been reviewed. Qureshi, her alleged lover, Shoaib and Goswami were later arrested.

Qureshi told police she was married to her husband when she was a teenager. During questioning, she claimed that her husband was an alcoholic who spent time flying kites.

She said she met Shoaib on Facebook two years ago and wanted to marry him.

Apparently she encouraged Shoaib to assassinate her husband after which he contacted Goswami to take over the mission. The killer charged INR 600,000.

The murder seat was populated, which is why Shoaib himself helped the killer. The couple shot the victim and fled on bicycles.
