Volunteers are still needed to help with the upcoming Windscape Kite Festival taking place this weekend.

Windscape Volunteer Coordinator Brittany Williams provides details of available jobs.

“We are a volunteer run organization so we need a lot of help to run all of our events. We have everything from kids bubbles to kite making and lots of fun activities for kids. We We are also looking for help to manage the land, so help with recycling, recruit volunteers and organize kite workshops.”

Williams says there are additional benefits to volunteering as well.

“So every shift you take, we enter you into a raffle and the raffle prizes have been donated by local businesses, so there are some great things to be won. Plus, if you cover two shifts a day, we will prepare your lunch and on Sunday we have all our volunteers invited to our Long Days Night music festival.”

Shifts are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Volunteer orientation will take place at 7 p.m. on June 15 at the kite field located at 11th Ave SW. At that time, the volunteers will learn everything they don’t know how to do and go through their assigned station.

Those interested can call Williams at 639-999-8675 or email [email protected]
