Security of Chinese facilities reviewed
LAHORE: A high-level meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of CCPO Lahore DIG Bilal Siddique Kamyana at the capital’s police headquarters.
DIG Operations Captain (Retired) Sohail Chaudhry, SP Security Rashid Hidayat, all Divisional SsP Operations and relevant officers attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the security arrangements of Chinese facilities, progress made in apprehending targeted offenders, notorious criminals and cracking down on kites and drug traffickers.
CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana ordered police officers to ensure the implementation of the “Punjab Vulnerable Establishments Security Act” in letter and spirit while giving immediate FIRs for non-compliance and violation of SOPs of security despite the issuance of prior notices.
Kamyana continued that security arrangements should be ensured in accordance with SOPs and security audits of Chinese facilities and residences. It is impossible to eradicate crime without arresting declared offenders and convicts. CCPO Lahore further stated that there should be zero tolerance on flying kites and cases should be registered against kites without any discrimination of delay. Kamyana said that the sole objective of every policeman should be to protect the life and property of citizens and to bring relief to them. The Divisional SsP should formulate an actionable strategy for crime control and deliver positive results as he personally monitored the performance of the SPs on a daily basis, Bilal Siddique Kamyana concluded.
