Apple butter festival
Oct. 9 and 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The annual Apple Butter Festival returns to the grounds of the Century Village Museum in Burton. Along with making the Company’s own apple butter products in cast iron kettles and watching giant kites fly, there will be music, vendors, food and family fun. Historical buildings and craftsmen will be open to visitors.

Burton Fall Festival

The Burton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Fall Festival Weekend in Burton Square. Have fun for all ages, enjoy live music, food and vendors. Maple shakes at the Burton Log Cabin from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Burton Village Tree Commission will commemorate Arbor Day on October 9 by distributing white pine seedlings from 10 a.m. to noon in the plaza in conjunction with the Chamber’s Fall Festival.
American Legion Roast Pork
October 9 4 pm-7pm
The Newbury American Legion Post 663 hosts its annual roast pork dinner and house pie auction at the post at 11008 Kinsman Road in Newbury Township. Tickets are $ 12 in advance or $ 15 at the door.

Jeep Geauga invasion
The Rotary Club of Burton-Middlefield, along with Junction Auto Family and others, sponsor the Geauga Jeep Invasion for Veterans. The jeep ride through scenic Geauga County begins, rain or shine, at Mayfield Road Drive-In, 12100 State Route 322, Chardon.
Registration is at 8 a.m. The drive starts at 10 a.m. and ends at the drive-in at 11 a.m. The recognition of the sponsors is at 11:30 am.
The first 200 jeeps receive a gift bag and a bottle of water. Twenty door prizes will be awarded.
The donation is $ 25 per jeep. All profits go to veterans services.

DeJohn Pet Services hosts its annual Animal Blessing and Memorial Service at DeJohn Pet Services at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes campus, 28890 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills. Outdoor ecumenical service is free and open to the public.
Everyone is welcome to bring their pet for a blessing and / or photos or token of a deceased pet to use at the memorial service. Private blessings are available upon request.

The Children’s Guild of Cleveland hosts its annual creative boutique featuring jewelry, textile arts, seasonal decorations, gourmet and hostess gifts, women’s accessories, children’s items and vintage treasures at the Acacia Reservation Clubhouse, 26899 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst.
Admission is $ 5. All proceeds go to selected children in the Cleveland area.
FOW Amish Wedding Dinner
