Flying the flag in a rainbow of colors
JUST as we hoped, the theme for our August contest, “the rainbow flag and all things, pride” sparked a flood of wonderful and colorful entries from the talented members. of the photo club.
There were plenty of photos from the pride celebrations of years past, which sparked many memories – and brought back what Brighton and Hove have missed over the past two summers because of Covid.
As always, it was very difficult to choose the worthy winner of the monthly £ 50 prize.
We loved the photo of Andy Webb from the Grand Hotel in Brighton and the photo of Marianna Dissing Bjerglys at the foot of the i360 – her own 2021 pride celebration.
There were several photos of the rainbow beach hut on the Hove waterfront – Letizia Morelli’s one, rightly so, focused on the padlock and was captioned “The Pride Hut in Containment.” “.
But for the originality and the superb composition, we have selected the superb shot of Mick Page’s rainbow kites on Goring beach as the winner of the month of August.
The theme for September is “the last days of summer”. Entries must be posted on the Argus Camera Club Facebook page with a note indicating where they were taken. This is one entry per person and the contest ends on September 30 at midnight. As always, the winner will receive a prize of £ 50.
