Chinese broadcaster injures four in Jalandhar city in one week: The Tribune India

Four people, including a student, have been seriously injured due to Chinese string used by kite flyers in the past week in the city.
Ram Prakash Gandhi, a resident of Krishna Nagar, said he was seriously injured after the deadly Chinese string caught around his leg as he traveled to his office on his scooter.
He said he was immediately taken to hospital as the cut was severe. Another victim, Ravi Jain, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, said he suffered minor injuries to his nose and neck while walking to the industrial area. He said his vigilance saved him as he immediately took a turn when he saw the string attached to the kite coming towards him.
Similarly, a student, Pawanpreet Singh, and Kavita Sharma were injured in the hand and face, respectively, while standing on the terrace of the house on Basant Panchami day.
Meanwhile, ADCP Suhail Mir said Jalandhar police have already launched a campaign to confiscate the Chinese channel and taken strict action against the sellers of the banned channel. He said a case had been filed against an unscrupulous seller. Also, the campaign would continue to protect people from the deadly nets of Chinese kites. He also asked residents to cooperate with the police and not buy the Chinese twine.
