Bayern Munich seek permanent deal for Justin Che
While the eyes of the Bavarian loyalists will be on the first-team signings at Bayern Munich, the club will also look to strengthen the reserve squad. It was a difficult season for the second team as they were relegated from the 3.Liga. The reserve team will have to be reinforced for a better season next year.
The German champions have regularly signed some of the best young players in the world over the past three to four years. Since the transfer market for senior players is inflated, investing in younger players is proving to be a successful long-term strategy.
In order to improve the reserve squad for next season, Die Roten will complete the signing of 17-year-old defender Justin Che. The teenager has been on loan at German club FC Dallas since early 2021.
Justin Che was recently included in the senior United States squad for upcoming international matches. Talking to SportBild This week, US head coach Gregg Berhalter confirmed that Die Roten is eager to make the permanent deal for Che. He also insisted that Che made a very good impression during training at Sabner Strasse.
Die Roten has worked with FC Dallas in recent seasons for the development of young players. The American club sent young players for trials and loans to Die Roten. Previously, Rekordmeister had managed to get a gem at the club after Chris Richards was definitely signed from FC Dallas. Richards has already made his first-team debut, and he also had a productive loan spell at Hoffenheim in the second half of last season.
Considering the fact that Justin Che was called up to the national team at the age of 17 highlights his enormous potential. He’s unlikely to make his first-team debut next season, but slowly and steadily, if he continues to grow, then the opportunity will present itself for him.
Rekordmeister has been smart in terms of finding the club’s top young talent. They already have two fantastic young players in Alphonso davies and Jamal Musiala who are some first team players after enjoying good breakthrough campaigns.

In addition to bringing young talent to the club, Bayern need to improve when it comes to arranging good loans. They had a very low success rate last summer. Not all players will have a breakthrough in Munich, but finding the right clubs for their development should always be on Die Roten’s agenda.
