Free Dog Vaccination Clinic
This community service will have budget conscious pet owners wagging their tails. Foothills Animal Shelter and the City of Arvada, in partnership with Petco Love, help families care for their canine cohorts by providing free vaccinations. On April 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the shelter is hosting an immunization clinic at Arvada High School (north parking lot) at 7951 W. 65th Ave. Dogs can receive distemper and parvo vaccines free of charge. Super doll and toy show
Fans of vintage and collectible toys, dolls and comics are in the spotlight at the Toy & Doll Supershow. Taking place for the first time since 2019, a big 30th anniversary show is scheduled for April 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Delta by Marriott Hotel (10 E. 120th Ave.) in Northglenn. With over 200 tables of toys, comics and more, there is sure to be something special to find for every collector and enthusiast in attendance. Admission is $5. Children under 12 are admitted free. After a two-year hiatus, the Arvada Kite Festival is set to fill the skies again on April 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stenger Soccer Complex (11200 W. 58th Ave.). The high-flying event will delight all ages with the art of kiting and friendly competition. Bring your own kite or buy one locally.
