Another biker injured by stray kite string

LAHORE: A motorcyclist was injured by a kite string in the Mughalpura region on Friday. The victim identified as Sajjad from Mughalpura was riding his motorbike home from work when a stray kite string tangled in his neck leaving a deep cut. The injured person was rushed to hospital. DIG Operations became aware of the incident and requested a report from SP Cantt and ordered an indictment against the SHO concerned.
Kite seller detained: Police in Harbanspura have arrested a man for selling white kites to fly at night. Police recovered five kites and three chemical strings from the possession of the accused who was later identified as Junaid.

Man kills wife: A 55-year-old woman was killed by her husband on Friday for a domestic problem in Sehuwari Bazaar, Mughalpura. Defendant Ghulam Muhayyuddin got angry while exchanging hot words with his wife Naseem and hit her on the head with a hammer, following which she died instantly. The body was transferred to the morgue.
Accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 1,177 road accidents in all districts of Punjab in the past 24 hours. In these accidents, 12 people died, while 1,236 were injured.
